Running the program the first time is overwhelming if you have lots of programs open. Users could collaborate on repositories to assemble different sets of rules that block ad sites, metrics, analytics, social stuff, known malware sites, porn, etc. with the ability to opt-in/out of each by simply checking a box or adding a repo url. Also would be nice if the OB folks had some default lists they maintained for users just getting started, then you could tick the items you wanted blocked when going through the application install procedure. This would make the install process much smoother and Little Snitch would be very "gmail-like". With gmail, you just don't see spam very often. Little Snitch could do that for all sites and users could all help keep the rules up to date.
