Local connections not showing on network monitor

I feel like I'm missing something obvious, my local connections are not showing up on my network monitor and I cannot seem to find any information on this online.

I know for a fact that a sync application of mine running on my LAN is pushing at least a MB of throughput on my box with snitch on it but the monitor doesn't seem to be picking it up. How can I get the monitor to display this?
